Our mission is to allow Asian students to engage with their ethnic heritage through positive events like cultural festivals and traditional dances, as well as learning about ethnic foods, heritage languages, and the diverse cultures that make up the Asian Pacific region.
Additionally, organizing workshops on topics relevant to Asian communities, such as language, heritage, and ethnic identity, can broaden our reach and impact. Finally, collaborating with other cultural clubs and organizations on campus can create a more extensive support network and resources for our members.
At the same time, our objective is to inform the public about the diversity of Asian communities. This will help us create meaningful conversations and unity and understanding between cultures.

Treat everyone with compassion. We strive to create a community of non competitive, supportive, open minded collaboration. This allows participants to feel free to express themselves and push the boundaries of their comfort zone as a musician without fear of contempt or judgment.

Do not bully, harass, or discriminate against other club participants.

Members must refrain from drug and alcohol consumption or intoxication during club meetings, events, and field trips. We may take field trips to venues that serve alcohol, but participants of the field trip would still not be allowed to consume alcohol or any other recreational drug.

The primary benefit of being an official member would be the level of influence over the decisions that affect Cascade Music Club as a whole. Cascade Paragon Arts Gallery
The Paragon Arts Gallery is located at Cascade Campus in the Paragon Arts Resource Building (815 N. Killingsworth Street). During the academic year, we are open Wednesday – Friday, 12-7pm, and Saturday, 12-5pm. We are closed between exhibitions. Check our webpage for holiday closures.

Rock Creek Helzer Gallery
The Helzer Gallery is open Monday – Friday, 9am-4pm and Saturday, 10am-4pm. It is located in Building 3 at Rock Creek Campus. Visitors are asked to purchase a parking permit at the kiosk at the campus entrance on weekdays. Parking is free on Saturdays.

Southeast Gallery
The Southeast Gallery is on pause through the 2024-2025 academic year.

Sylvania North View Gallery
The North View Gallery is located on the Sylvania Campus behind the bookstore in CT 214. During the academic year, we are open Monday – Friday 10am-6pm (NEW HOURS) and Saturday by appointment. We are closed between exhibitions and during college holidays.

The purpose of this organization is to provide older adults an opportunity to share in the exploration of topics of interest, contribute their experience and expertise, and expand their social circle.

MEMBERSHIP SSI is open to all older adults who subscribe to the concept of self-directed learning and who will abide by policies adopted by the SSI Board. Members are encouraged to participate in the planning and presentation of all SSI programs, and to serve on committees. Members pay annual dues. a. Membership Period The full membership period is September 1st through August 31st, with dues in an amount set by the Board payable by the beginning of the membership year or upon joining. New members who join after May 15th of the current year receive full membership for the following year. Membership enrollment is open any time during the year. Anyone may attend two classes or groups before paying dues. Membership refunds will be made only during the first two weeks after payment unless there are extraordinary circumstances. The Membership Administrator, in consultation with the Treasurer, will determine whether to grant a refund. b. Lifelong Membership Life-long membership will be granted by the Board to members who have contributed significantly to SSI over a substantial period of time. Lifelong members will be exempt from annual membership fees, will receive SSI communications, and will be listed in the SSI roster as Lifelong Members. c. Member Scholarships Member scholarships may be granted by the Board based on stated need by an active SSI member.
