The Library of Congress Veterans History Project (VHP) is a program that collects, preserves, and makes accessible firsthand accounts of U.S. military veterans’ experiences. Established by Congress in 2000, the project encourages veterans from all branches of service and conflicts to share their personal narratives through oral history interviews, letters, photographs, diaries, and other historical documents. These materials are archived in the Library of Congress, providing a valuable resource for researchers, educators, and the public to gain insight into the personal stories behind America’s military history. USMC veteran and Retired Federal Judge The Honorable Ancer L. Haggerty will be interviewed to discuss his military and how it influenced his decision to become an attorney.
