Hello Club Officers, Advisors, and Friends of the Clubs Program,
We would like to share some important updates regarding the Student Engagement Clubs Program for the 2025–26 academic year.
First, we’re excited to announce that after two years in the Clubs Coordinator role, Gabbi Boyle has accepted the brand-new role of Drive2Thrive Coordinator. Congratulations to Gabbi on this exciting next chapter!
We’re actively working to fill the full-time Clubs Coordinator position — the dedicated role that supports clubs across all four campuses. We look forward to sharing an announcement soon.
The current model for clubs is a holdover from before the COVID shutdown, and it no longer fits. Student needs have shifted, and the resources available to coordinate the program have changed. That’s why we’re reimagining the structure to create stronger, more sustainable support for clubs moving forward.
This year is a rebuilding year for the Office of Student Engagement, with a focus on strengthening our work and laying a stronger foundation for clubs and students to thrive.
Here are the key updates shaping the Clubs Program for 2025–26:
This Year for Clubs:
- Focus on Existing Clubs (Fall): This fall is dedicated to supporting and growing existing clubs. New club applications are on pause as we build momentum, with applications reopening in the Winter Term.
- Engagement-Based Funding Model: Traditional seed funding is paused this year. Instead, clubs can earn funds through engagement-based opportunities offered by Student Engagement, ensuring that resources are allocated to clubs that are active, engaged, and contribute to campus life.
- Carry-Over Option: Engagement-Based Funds can now carry across terms, allowing clubs to plan for larger events. All of these funds must be used by the end of the academic year, with purchase requests due by May 1, 2026.
- Fundraising Accounts: Clubs with established fundraising accounts can continue to use them as usual, with balances carrying over year to year.
- Involvement Opportunities: Although the Involvement Fair was cancelled this term due to low club attendance in past years, clubs now have more flexible options — request your own tabling through the PantherHub Event request process. There will be other opportunities to be featured at signature Student Engagement events, such as Wellness Week and the Holiday Craft Fair. More information will be available soon on how to sign up. Updates will be posted in the Student Engagement Clubs Program group in PantherHub.
Your Voice in What’s Next
- Fall Survey (Late in the Term): Share your input on how Student Engagement can best support PCC Clubs — your feedback will directly shape our work.
- Club Council (Winter Term): Join us in exploring a new Club Council — a chance for clubs to have a stronger voice in decision-making and club engagement.
Support for Clubs this Year
This rebuilding year is about ensuring that Student Engagement resources — including club funding — are used responsibly and equitably, while providing clubs with the opportunity to grow, collaborate, and make a positive impact. Your feedback and involvement will shape the future of the program.
Thank you for your leadership and for all you do to connect students, create community, and make PCC thrive.
Kind regards,
DeLinda Martin-Huggins
Director of Student Engagement
